Introduction of CA’s committees
Current Affairs Committee
The committee is responsible for discussing environmental policies and action plans of the Government. It also provides analysis and response towards current environmental issues in local districts to help stakeholders fully consider the environmental factors of the issues, and set up sustainable plans accordingly. The committee meets every two week to discuss current environmental issues.
Branding and Fundraising Committee
The committee is responsible for setting long-term plans for the sake of image and brand building, so as designing yearly fundraising plans for the association. The committee would initiate new and tailored development plans by analysing the positioning of CA in the community, in order to cater the association's objectives as well as the marketing trend. The committee meets once every 2 to 3 months at CA’s office.
Conservation Committee
The committee is responsible for setting up plans for CA’s conservation projects. The committee would promote conservation projects in the community according to specific annual themes such as green farming, tree conservation and wetland conservation, etc. in order to get the general public and stakeholders involved in environmental conservation. The committee meets once every 2 to 3 months at CA’s office.
Education Committee
With members possessing different education expertise, the Education Committee plays an advisory role in the planning, development, marketing & operation of the environmental education work, providing guidance & practical comments to the program strategies and directions. Meetings are basically seasonal-based.
Sustainable Energy Committee
To provide guidance and recommendations to the Conservancy Association relating to sustainable energy to help HK achieve carbon net zero by 2050 and limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
