Making strawman is the most funny part among all the activities in our rice planting culture. This activity combines nature conservation with art, and participanting students are able to explore farmland ecology, learning about local agriculture and more importantly having fun on our motherland. Participants have to make use of straw, string, bamboo and self-prepared materials for make their own strawman withing a designated period of time. Agriculture, the Harmony between Bird and Human, and Wetland Ecology were the key themes. Up-cycling elements make bonus scores too.We were honorable to invite local eco-guides and farmers to be our judges in some of the competitions we held.
