On 30th April 2006, Hang Seng Bank and CA jointly carried out tree planting in the CAS site , Po Lo Che, Ma On Shan Country Park. 10200 tree seedlings were planted.
Throughout the last decade, caring work such as weeding and fertilizing was carried out by volunteers from Hang Seng Bank and CA. The seedlings grew from about 50cm to 6-8m in 10 years. The once barren hill slope was now a green woodland, playing a role in the natural environment.
Unfortunately we found part of the fringe of the woodland was burnt in a hillfire in December 2013. The woodland had played its part to stop the spread of the fire. To compensate the loss, Hang Seng Bank and CA carried out the replanting on 1st June 2014. 200 seedlings of native tree species were used. Let’s give our best wishes to the seedlings for their healthy growth.

Starting from 2006, within Ma On Shan Country Park, volunteers have been keen in the afforestation and tree caring work. The site is now a little woodland, where seedlings have become 6-8 metres in height.
Replanting work in June 2014, putting on new seedlings of local tree species again.
For years, volunteers have been working hard to take good care of planted seedlings, performing weeding and fertilizing tasks.
