Project objective and features:
In cooperation with local stakeholders including landowners and farmers under management agreements, Long Valley habitat management measures were implemented. In addition, with the wide range of ecological studies and monitoring, more detailed information on the biodiversity and potential threats in Long Valley has been collected for planning and implementing conservation work in Long valley in the future. This management agreement was a pilot scheme in Hong Kong aimed at building a sustainable cooperating relationship for striking a balance between ecological conservation and local economic development.
