Hong Kong is adjacent to Guangdong. The two places are similar in climate and ecological environment, and unfortunately, in the way of over-logging to the forests too. Many hillsides in Guangdong are barren and seriously degraded, leading to frequent landslides in various extent. CA concerns about the restoration of forest ecology in both Hong Kong and the neighborhood. With the support of Qinfa Group, a tree planting scheme kicked off in the barren hillside of Guangdong in 2012 with the hope to green the environment.
The once barren hillside is covered with tree seedlings after planting.
With careful management, most seedlings grow well on the poor soil.
