Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree
As the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree had a bough breaking off in 2005, CA waged a campaign on protecting the Wishing Tree and promoting the importance of tree conservation, with the help from the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong.
While CA kept monitoring the Wishing Tree, the condition was still far from satisfactory: the crown had shrunken to 40%, compared to 2005; the trunk suffered apparent decay, several branches were cut as they were dead because of the serious decay. This case brought an important message: once a tree is wounded, it would be very difficult for it to recover.
