Our Work

Apart from seminars, we offer a range of environmental education activities, brining our audiences with various experiences about the nature and also the environmental problems that we are facing. Forms of activities include: facilities visits, eco-tours, tree appreciations, children stories, green games, workshops, liberal studies and drama-in-education programs etc. 

Our Current Programs include：

*45 min is needed both before and after the program for props setting, thusoccupying the venue for 2 .5 hr in total

** 45 is needed for props setting before and afterwards, thus occupying the venue for1.75 hr in total.

***55 is needed for props setting before and afterwards, thus occupying the venue for 1 hr and 35 min in total.

Application procedure：

Please apply at least one month in advance of the proposed date of the activities by completion of the application form;(/ ) Chinese Only

Fax the completed application to 27285538;

A written reply will be given back to the applicant within 2 weeks (whether successful or not);

Successful applicants will be givena confirmation letter and a debit note at the same time;

Successful applicants will be requested to submit the payment using a cross-cheque two weeks within issuing the confirmation letter;\

(Unsuccessful payment upon the deadline will be treated as giving up the application.)

Remarks：

♦ Sufficient timeis neededto arrange proper resourcesbefore a booking confirmation can be issued.

♦ Because government permits may be necessary for certain programs, a one-month in-advanced application may not be sufficient under such cases. Applicants are suggested to contact us for enquiries.    

♦ Fees for private corporate applicants are available upon enquiries.

Terms & Conditions：

1) About Application Procedure

♦ Other than activity CS15, fees for other programs are based in units of a group. A unit with the number of participants below the relevant group capacity number would still be charged as one group;

♦ No travelling and insurance fee is covered by any program fee. Applicant will be responsible for such expenses;

♦ If applicants arecharitable institutions and trusts of a public character, which are exempted from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, then copies of the relevant registration documents must be submitted upon applicationand approval to enjoy the NGO fees.

2) About the Logistics

♦ Please be punctual at the meet-up point. Late comers will not be entertained, and no compensation or refund will apply under such cases.  

♦ Participants need to arrange themselves for traffic to the meet-up point.

- Certain activities involve outdoor and countryside sessions, please dress with sport or hiking shoes and light and comfortable outdoor outfits.

♦ Please bring your own mosquito repellent, sun blocks and rain gear.

♦ For outdoor programs,p lease bring sufficient drinking water and snacks.

3) Arrangement under Adverse Weather Conditions

♦ In case of the following weather signals two hours before the meet-up time of a program, the program will be postponed (exact dates with further notices):

1.Amber, Rain or Black rainstorm warning signals, typhoon signal no. 3 or above; OR a forecast regarding an upcoming announcement of any of the above signals by the HK Observatory in a few hours;

2. Thunderstorm Warning (affecting the relevant regions of the program venue); OR

3. A forecast regarding an upcoming announcement of heavy rainin a few hours (affecting the relevant regions of the program venue).

♦ In case of adverse weather conditions other than the above situations, please contact our program staff-in-charge by phone (only on the program day) for the most up-to-date information

♦ In case of adverse weather conditions in the middle of the program, we will make decision about the program arrangement basing on the actual situations.  

Cancellation or Postponement:

♦ Once the confirmation has been issued, in case of any cancellation or postponement request by the applicant, a written cancellation request would be a must, which would be followed by our written reply. Under normal conditions, only one re-arrangement would be granted. The Conservancy Association reserves the right to charge for partial or completed penalty as the administrative cost.  

♦ The Conservancy Association reserves the rights for all final decisions regarding any application.
