CA Forest Guards
To effectively support local voluntary reforestation efforts, the “CA Forest Guards” was established in 2018. To date, we have held four cohorts of the “CA Forest Guards” training programme and trained over 100 members of the volunteer team. The programme aims to allow individuals who are interested in learning about and participating in local voluntary reforestation work to:
- Learn about local vegetation and reforestation history
- Participate and assist in leading volunteer work for reforestation initiatives
- Engage with like-minded peers who share similar values
Since its establishment, Forest Guards members have actively contributed to forest restoration work. They have assisted in leading seedling planting activities, including teaching and demonstrating planting techniques, providing overviews of local reforestation efforts, and monitoring the growth and care of seedlings through weeding. The successful completion of various reforestation tasks relies upon the support of each team member.
