Accepted items by the Used Clothes Collection scheme include:

 

Accepted Items: Clothes, Shoes, Plush toys, Handbags, Backpacks

  • Items not suitable for recycling include: pillow, wadded quilt, used underwear / socks, old suits, damaged clothing, outdated winter clothing

 

Before you make a donation drop off…

 

  • Make sure the items you donate are CLEAN
  • Check thoroughly for personal belongings (e.g. valuable, trash, etc.). There is no guarantee that any lost items can be retrieved after the drop off

1) Used Clothes Collection Banks: Deliver used clothes to the nearest collection facility

2) ”Door-to-door” Pickup Service (by appointment ONLY)

ONLY available for a single pick-up location with no less than 5 FULL bags [27" (W) X 30" (H) X 13.5" (D)] of used clothing (photos showing the to-be-donated clothing will be required if there are more than 10 bags)

Due to limitations of resource and manpower, we can only arrange pick-up service for those fulfilling the below criteria:

Access to/from the collection location

Remarks
  1. Size of “Red, white and blue nylon bag” for reference：27 x 30 x 13.5 inch（Width x Height x Depth）
  2. Photos may be required to ensure the roadway condition fulfils the above criteria
  3. CA reserves the right to accept/reject the provision of pick-up service in remote areas, even if the above criteria have been fulfilled.
  4. Pick-up at a common area could be arranged if the walking path condition is not desirable
  5. Pillow, wadded quilt, used underwear/ socks, old suits, damaged clothing, outdated winter clothing, mattresses, electronics, furniture, household appliances, kitchenware, textbooks and magazines, toys are NOT accepted.

  • By appointment (at least 1 week prior) ONLY;
  • Pickup within 6 hours (1400-2000); will be confirmed by phone;
  • Pickups within Hong Kong Island are only available on WEDs & SUNs

        

“Door-to-door” Pickup Procedures

  1. Contact us by phone (2728 6781) to reserve a pickup service date during office hours
  2. A staff member of CA will send a confirmation letter to the donor within 3 working days via WhatsApp or email to confirm the collection details
  3. Please study the confirmation letter carefully and make sure ALL to-be-donated items indeed comply with the related clauses.
  4. Our driver will assign the pickup time depending on traffic conditions and other scheduled appointments on the day of service. A phone confirmation will be made by the driver to inform the donor about the expected pickup time.

 

Attention

  1. The following persons have priority in applying for the door-to-door pickup service:
    a. There are no used-clothes collection points near the pickup location.
    b. Solitary elderly
    c. Persons with mobility difficulties
  2. Door-to-door pickup service is restricted due to manpower constraint. Some applications may require a longer waiting time. Thank you for your patience and co-operation.

 

3) Dropoff in person to Jockey Club - The Conservancy Association Urban Forestry Green Hub (by appointment ONLY)

(Please study the below information carefully)

  • An appointment MUST be made during office hours [MON to FRI (0930 - 1300; 1430 - 1800)] via phone to reserve a date/ time-slot for the drop-off 
  • A staff member of CA will send a confirmation letter to the donor within 3 working days via WhatsApp or email to confirm the collection details
  • Transportation fees of any kind must be settled by the donor prior to the drop off
  • Please DO NOT make drop offs to CA without an appointment
  • The Conservancy Association reserves the right to accept/ reject items that are outside our donation guideline/ criteria and/ or without an appointment for drop off
