“Green Junior’s Green Living Theatre”, a 30-seconds educational video encourages members of public to say “NO” to disposables. The animation features “The Green Junior” as a neighbor, urging citizens to adopt green practices by using reusable lunch boxes, handkerchiefs and cups in daily lives. The colouring contest is another creative platform to deliver green messages for children based on the characters from the animation.
A reputable response of 140 submissions was received from the kindergartens within the 11 participating estates for the coloring competition. A final round of 23 submissions was chosen through several voting and ranking processes by judges from the Hong Kong Housing Authority and CA. In the end, a student from Tin Yat estate was crowned the Champion. There were also a 1st Runner-up, two 2nd Runner-ups as well as 19 merit awards for the competition. Meanwhile, HK&KKWA Wan Tsui Kindergarten and Tai Po Baptist Kindergarten (Tin Chak Estate Branch) were winning schools with the highest participation rate.
