2018 is a particularly hot and dry year, making the Big Boss “Flame Thrower” stronger than ever. He vows to burn Hong Kong’s countryside to ashes from Lamma Island to Nam Sang Wai wetland. Therefore, we need YOU to join forces with other Eco-Rangers to hunt down “Flame Thrower” and his anti-environment crops, to put out fires and save our Country Parks! Surplus food recovery summary & updatesCA’s food sharing scheme, the Food Resources Recycling Centre (FRRC), was established in July 2013 and sponsored by the Environment and Conservation Fund since August 2014. We aim to encourage more people to participate in food waste reduction and give back to the community through mutual help and sharing! As of the end of June 2018, 232 tons of fresh and packaged food has been recovered by FRRC, which benefited over 110,000 people. 2. The sun shines above the sky over Hong Kong for a long time since May this year. Every morning at 6 o’clock, a trace of sunlight had penetrated the glass and shone across the room when we still lay in bed. In the afternoon, the crowded streets with hot weather pushed me to sweat profusely and lose breath. “Green Junior’s Green Living Theatre” coloring competition

“Green Junior’s Green Living Theatre”, a 30-seconds educational video encourages members of public to say “NO” to disposables. The animation features “The Green Junior” as a neighbor, urging citizens to adopt green practices by using reusable lunch boxes, handkerchiefs and cups in daily lives. The colouring contest is another creative platform to deliver green messages for children based on the characters from the animation. A reputable response of 140 submissions was received from the kindergartens within the 11 participating estates for the coloring competition.
