Lai Chi Wo is locatedat the north-east corner of the New Territories, between Plover Cove Country Park and Yan Chau Tong Marine Park. The traditional Hakka village, stream, farmland, mangrove and fun shui wood there entangles to nurture numerouswildlife such as butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, birds and a variety of plants.With support from the Environment and Conservation Fund, the“Management Agreement Scheme at Lai Chi Wo Enclave (MALCW)” was launched since October 2017. The scheme aims to sustainbiodiversity and traditional rural lifethrough eco-friendly farming practices as well as well-planned farmland management.
