Since the launch of the “Community Used Clothes Recycling Bank Scheme” in 2006, the Home Affair Department (HAD) has continued to appoint CA as one of the 4 scheme managers, and to provide recycling services for the general public at Sai Kung, Northern, Tai Po and Sha Tin districts.
In addition, CA has received funding from HAD to produce another batch of used clothes recycling banks. After a round of site research and internal discussion, we decided to expand our recycling network with two additional banks at Shek Kok Promenade (the pedestrian road outside SAE Technology Centre) in Sha Tin District and Sheung Ning Playground in Sai Kung District. Up to now, the number of community used clothes collection points have increased to 44. For more details about collection points, please click here.
Thank you for supporting our recycling work over the years. At the same time, we also understand that people wish to have more convenient recycling facilities in the community. However, since the placement of recycling bank is a time consuming process that requires site analysis and involves different departments, we are unable to respond to all needs at the moment due to limited manpower and resource. In the near future, where the conditions permit, we will try our best to enrich our coverage of recycling network and thank you once again for your support to CA!
